The collection largely consists of publications documenting events and activities which took place in the UW-Milwaukee Student Union. Included are handbooks, guides, and other brochures introducing the union and its services, programming brochures and reports, and issues of the Union News (1964-1978) and the Preview (1979-Present). Materials describing the activities of the Union Theater and Union Cinema, including festivals, are particularly well-represented. The collection also contains copies of the calendars published annually by the Bookstore, all of which contain artwork from prominent UWM artists such as Fred Berman (2000), Alan Magayne-Roshak (2007), Leon Travanti (2003), and Elsa Ulbricht (1993). Union Policy Board minutes and related materials, and a series of union user survey (1991-1995). Also found in the collection are materials from the "55 and Over Program," which provided cultural, social, recreational, and educational services and activities for older adult members of the UW-Milwaukee Union.
